Greetings!

We are the proud owners of the Carson House B&B. We've been happily married for 34 years and have spent the last 26 years in Parry Sound. We've come to love our home on Georgian Bay and would be happy to share its treasures with you!

The Carson Connection

Since our surname is Maddeford, most of our guests are justifiably curious to know why our B&B is called the "Carson House" and not the "Maddeford House".

Well, simply put, our house was once the home of three NHL hockey players, all from the same family - the Carsons. We have, therefore, dedicated our B&B to the Carson family in order to bring publicity to some (as yet) little known Canadian hockey legends.

Of course, in dedicating our B&B to an historical Parry Sound-based hockey family, it helps that we both love the game itself. John has played hockey regularly for approximately twenty-five years and Donna is an enthusiastic (if not, sometimes hyperactive) observer of the great Canadian game! We are proud to live in the home town of local hockey legend, Bobby Orr, and are equally as proud to own a little piece of Canadian Hockey history.
